ASSOCIATION OF HARYANA STATE SELF FINANCING DENTAL COLLEGES is a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 vide Certificate of Registration No. DR/GGN/053 of 2009-10 dated 25.06.2009 issued by Registrar of Firms & Societies, Gurgaon, having following aims & objectives:-
- To represent before appropriate authorities / courts / tribunals and of any forums of the State and Central for the common causes in relation to the administration, management and smooth functioning of the self financing dental colleges in the State of Haryana.
- To advise or represent to Government, Local Authorities, Bodies on the policies adopted by them in relation to governance of Dental Education, provided that such policies or measures shall have a bearing on dentistry.
- To conduct common Entrance Test jointly by all the members of the Society / association in the state of Haryana for drawing a merit list of students desirous to take admission in B.D.S. / M.D.S courses in the self financing dental colleges in the State of Haryana.
- To make available the benefits of association’s activities to the public at large without restricting the same only to the members of the association.
- To undertake health awareness programmes amongst the villages surroundings the member institutions and spreading the Government sponsored programmes for the benefit of the rural populace.
- To create a corpus fund, as determined by the Governing Body for carrying out the activities regarding health related programmes for the betterment of the general public.
- To Co-operate with the Central & State Governments, State Fee and Admission Committee and various other organizations in the country and abroad with a view to further promotion of Dental Education.
- To advise or represent to Government, Local Authorities, Bodies on the policies adopted by them in relation to governance of Dental Education, provided that such policies or measures have a bearing directly or indirectly on this sector.
- To Organize and participates in Trade Fairs, Exhibitions, Seminars, Meetings, Workshops and Road shows for the promotion of Dental Education in India and all parts of the world so as to maximize the export of Dental Education.
- To prepare edit, print, publish, issue, acquire and circulate books, pamphlets, papers, Journals, Magazines, Brochures, periodicals, gazettes, circulars and other literary undertakings having a bearing upon industry trade or commerce, especially, relating to Dental Education and its exports.
- To collect, analyse, collate, tabulate and circulate data, statistics, information etc., in relation to or connected with any discipline of Dental Education.
- To exercise professional supervision over the members of the Society and to frame and ascertain the ethical standards for professional ethics and observance in all matters for which the rules and the guidelines which would be framed from time to time.
- To establish and support or aid in the establishment and support of associations, institutions, funds, trusts and conveniences calculated to benefit persons connected with the profession of Dental Education in India and to grant donations, make loans or payments towards insurance for the benefit of employees and to subscribe and guarantee money in charitable and benevolent objects or for any public, general or useful object.
- To procure recognition for the Society vis-à-vis its objects in India and abroad.
- To take any such steps by personal or written appeals or otherwise as may from time to time be deemed expedient for the purpose of procuring contributions to the funds of the Society in the form of donations, annual subscriptions or otherwise and to invest funds of the Society not immediately required in such securities or deposits as may, from time to time, be determined by the Governing Body of the Society.
- To provide scholarships, prizes, medals and /or other awards to the deserving persons.
- To depute or join in electing or nominating delegates, advisers, etc., to represent the Society on regional, national and international conferences, seminars etc.
- To co-operate with and to make representations to any department of the Government of India or other Central Authorities, Organizations, Commissions, Boards, Enquiry Bodies etc., as may be deemed necessary in furtherance of the objects of the society and to do likewise at State level.
- The Society shall be a non-profit making organization and its income shall be utilised for promotion of its aims and objectives.
- The Society shall conduct international and domestic level research activities, funded and non-funded, and offering consultancy to Governments, academic and industry, national and international organization including Accreditation.
- To enter into specific MOUs or MOAs with other societies, corporate and other bodies or organisations, foundations etc., in India or abroad to provide services on mutual agreed terms and conditions towards the advancement of the objects of the society.
- To institute awards to honor persons, dignitaries etc., in India or Abroad who have done exceptional service in promoting Dental Education.
- To contract or subcontract on behalf of the Society for carrying out specific jobs, and provide specific services not inconsistent with the aims and objects of the society.
- To create chairs of professorships, research scholarships, etc., in India and abroad for the advancement of Dental Education.
- And generally to do such other lawful things as are incidental or conducive or may be necessary in the interest of the Society or of the above objects of the Society directly and /or indirectly.
- The association shall have the power to adopt and include any suitable aims and objectives appropriate for the dental education and for the smooth functioning of the association from time to time.
- Without prejudice to the above aims and objectives and for effectively carrying out the same, the society / association shall also have the powers to frame rules and regulations under the constitution.
